VP, Data & Services Competitive Intelligence & Pricing Strategies

Overview The Data & Services team is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing the cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. Focused on thinking big and scaling fast around the globe, this agile team is responsible for end-to-end solutions for a diverse global customer base. Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include payments-focused consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, business Test & Learn experimentation, and data-driven information and risk management services. The Revenue Maximization team is a functional group within the D&S Sales and Servicing organization with the mandate to serve as an effective catalyst for accelerated revenue growth without the expected proportionate increase in either expense or commercial risk. This team will work with Business Ops to generate timely sales performance, conduct ongoing sales assessments, identify new business models with finance, and support accelerated close of all opportunities. Competitive Intelligence and Assessment, Pricing Strategies, Funding Optimization and New Revenue Models, Lead Generation and Pipeline are some of the key focus areas Role o Key role accountable for providing insights on competitor strategies, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats and strategic plans o Analyze product capabilities across Mastercard in relation to competitive landscape to make recommendations for organic and inorganic initiatives to drive accelerated growth o Conduct primary and secondary research of disruptive technologies/companies o Prepare industry, market and competitive landscape assessments, with business implications and actionable recommendations; including positioning and pricing models and strategies o Drive transition from 'Cost plus' to 'Bundled', 'Solution' and 'Value' based pricing o Implement price standardization of similar products and services across clients within the same regions and segments o Use pricing as a lever to balance fluctuating demand with fixed resource pools o Catalyze opportunity close rates and scale through solution bundling and pricing on a shared risk basis o Develop one-to-many solution pricing strategies offered within a syndicate program model o Identify and analyze new business opportunities in existing, adjacent or new markets and businesses o Deliver high quality insights to senior leadership that affect product, technology and feature decisions o Identify best practices and benchmark the rest; partner with sales teams to raise the performance bar All About You o Deep understanding of the payments landscape, cards industry, payment gateways, campaign management, as well as the Mastercard Data & Services solutions, services and business model o Strong consulting background; able to influence audiences through the use of data-driven research and industry expertise o Excellent people management skills, with both direct and indirect teams, including cross-collaboration experience with other functions and geographies o Results focused, relentless vision for growth and profitability o Solution orientated, agility to be creative and a desire to innovate o Analytically minded with strengths in research, fact based data analysis and financial modeling o Good understanding of accounting and revenue recognition rules o Demonstrated ability to drive change and transformation o Prior consulting experience required Mastercard is an inclusive Equal Employment Opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
