Business Control- Performance Review

We are seeking an experienced hire with investment risk and Financial Advisor ("FA") performance experience to help us expand our FA Performance Review capability within the Consulting Group Business Control team. The Performance Analyst will review investment strategies employed by FAs in Advisory programs to identify any potential gaps in performance and any steps necessary to improve results. Responsibilities will include reviewing and analyzing quarterly data provided by the Investment Risk team, assessing Financial Advisors' overall investment strategy and process, identifying potential areas for improvement, and discussing these concerns with advisors, branch managers and risk officers. This role will report into the Advisory Programs Investment Risk Specialist as part of the Consulting Group
Major Functions (Principal Duties and Responsibilities)
Review the quarterly ranking provided by the Investment Risk team to identify outlying risk-adjusted performance, the contributing factors and steps necessary to improve results
Escalate concerns to Advisory program management and the Investment Risk team
Partner with Financial Advisors and Branch Management to address performance issues
Document findings and prepare statistics p Business Control organization.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with experienced Financial Advisors and Program Leads
Strong understanding of markets, asset allocation, risk analysis, and product-specific risks
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong work ethic and detail orientation
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
Knowledge and Skills Desired:
Qualitative analytics experience with risk management focus
Experience with risk management software

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
