Quick Apply Full-time 1 hour ago Full Job Description BUTLER for Family based in Purchase, NY Area Family is looking for professional and discreet Butler for service and general operations at principals three residences.
This role will be based in the Purchase, NY area with seasonal travel to the Hamptons, NY and Palm Beach, FL.
Accommodations will be provided when traveling.
A sense of excellence, confidentiality and discretion are key to this role.
The hired Butler has the overall responsibility of ensuring the highest quality of service to the principals and making sure the residence always maintained to the highest standards and per the family's specifications and preferences.
The Butler is also expected to assist with housekeeping duties and valet service, sort mail and open packages, keep track of inventory levels, oversee maintenance appointments, and greet guests.
The family appreciates candidates who have a great attitude, are flexible, and can pivot at a moment's notice.
Duties include Maintaining the operations of the household and/or running personal household tasks for clients or the employer Receiving guests.
Supervision of service vendors.
Arranging travel plans for the employer as well as the household guests.
Maintaining household security.
Serving meals and drinks to guests.
Arranging the table for serving meals.
Drawing household budgets.
Keeping wine cellars and having knowledge regarding fine wines.
Offering general valet services.
Managing various supplies in secondary dwellings.
Hiring and supervising junior staff.
Setting maintenance programs for miscellaneous equipment within a hotel or resort such as planes, boats and stables.
Managing housekeeping duties.
Ensuring all aspects of the property, interiors as well as exteriors are maintained and cleaned to the highest standard at all times while referencing the cleaning checklist/ household manual Looking after the plants and flowers throughout the home Arranging and cleaning of furnishings as needed Working with the other members of the team as required Ordering supplies and groceries at times Ensuring linens are freshened daily or as needed Cleaning up after meals and setting the table, serving food etc.
Requirements Strong command of English language; good communication skills, both written and verbal A valid Driver's License Legally able to work within the United States Minimum 5 years working in a similar role Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; above and beyond attitude with a keen eye for detail Excellent references required from both current and previous employers Job Type:
